Medical City Plano recognized for superior outcomes in women’s services

Medical City Plano has been named a 5-star recipient in three categories for women’s care by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. The recognition is part of the 2018 Women’s Care Awards.

Medical City Plano was among the top 10 percent or higher nationally in providing outstanding quality outcomes, was named a 5-star recipient for vaginal deliveries for the second year in a row and C-section deliveries for the 2018. This 5-star rating indicates that the hospital’s clinical outcomes are statistically significantly better than expected when treating the condition or performing the evaluated procedure.

“We are committed to the care and improvement of human life in every action, every patient, every time,” said Charles Gressle, CEO of Medical City Plano. “This award further exemplifies our commitment to all women that come into our hospital to deliver their child.”

This award also reaffirms Medical City Plano’s commitment to the highest level of care for both mother and baby. With luxury maternity suites, comprehensive family-centered care and a state-designated Level III neonatal intensive care unit, Medical City Plano is ready to provide the highest quality experience for families.

“The Healthgrades 2018 Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award recognizes hospitals for exceptional performance and helps consumers find the right care,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Healthgrades. “High-quality outcomes are a top priority for consumers when choosing hospitals, and the recipients of this award stand out due to their records of success.”

Medical City Plano is one of nine Medical City Healthcare hospitals honored for outstanding women’s services in the 2018 Women’s Care Awards, including Medical City Alliance, Medical City Arlington, Medical City Dallas, Medical City Las Colinas, Medical City Lewisville, Medical City McKinney, Medical City North Hills and Medical City Weatherford.
