Anyone in Plano or Collin County who’s expecting a child (or interested in getting a head-start on planning for one) is cordially invited to attend “The BIG Event” at Medical City Plano.
The annual baby-theme fair, to which admission is free, will place under one roof a wealth of information on preparing for childbirth and caring for a newborn.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the third-floor auditorium (Suite 315) of Medical Office Building III, located at 4001 W. 15th Street (the northwest corner of Coit and West 15th).
It will provide a relaxed and informal setting in which to meet the obstetricians and pediatricians on staff at the hospital, as well as view local vendors of pregnancy and infant-care products and services.
Event-goers will also have the opportunity to tour MCP’s labor-and-delivery and maternity suites, visit the hospital’s nursery, and learn about the line-up of classes offered to new and expectant parents.
Featured attractions at “The BIG Event” include:
- Physician roundtables at which event-goers can speak one-on-one with staff obstetricians and pediatricians, and find out what to expect.
- Tours of the MCP’s labor-and-delivery and maternity suites.
- Presentations by local vendors of pregnancy and baby-care products and services.
- Mini-seminars on breastfeeding, choosing a physician, and related topics.
