Early Heart Attack Care (EHAC)
Heart attacks have beginnings! The cardiologists and heart specialists a Medical City Plano are committed to helping detect heart attacks as early as possible so they can be prevented. EHAC encourages early recognition when heart attack symptoms are mild. Symptoms can begin up to two weeks before a major event. For the 50 percent of people experiencing these mild symptoms, the heart attack can be prevented with early treatment, before damage to the heart can occur. Time is of the essence when it comes to heart attacks: Eighty-five percent of heart damage occurs within the first two hours of blockage. Heart attack deaths kill 800,000 people annually in the U.S., but knowing telltale signs and symptoms can help cut that number in half. Call 911 if you think you are experiencing any possible signs or symptoms of a heart attack.
