Cancer treatment can be accompanied by significant pain, fatigue and disability for survivors. Medical City Plano's cancer rehabilitation program is staffed by a group of trained professionals, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists and occupational therapists who can help patients cope with a variety of cancer-treatment related symptoms, such as:

  • Fatigue

  • Musculoskeletal pain
  • Joint stiffness
  • Limb swelling
  • Trouble with balance and walking
  • Memory loss

Referral Process

There are several ways to refer patients to the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at Medical City Plano.

  • The physician’s office can call the rehabilitation enter reception desk with orders for a patient’s treatment, and then either fax, mail or send the prescription with the patient.
  • Patients can bring a referral for therapy to the reception desk on their first visit.
